From a Grandmother's Kitchen
to Your Table
Ahxin's grandmother β Ah Mo (ιΏε¬·) β was born in Teochew, China, in the 1930s. Like so many of her generation, she made the journey south to Thailand, carrying little more than her family's cookie recipe, handwritten on a scrap of paper she kept tucked in her sleeve.
She settled in Chiang Mai, where she baked for her family, for festivals, for weddings β every batch a small act of love. The cookies she made were not fancy. They were simple, made by hand, using ingredients that reminded her of home: peanut, sesame, coconut, butter.
Today, Ahxin carries on her legacy. Every cookie is still made by hand, in small batches, the same way Ah Mo made them. No shortcuts. No machines. Just love, patience, and the belief that the best things in life are made slowly.
